I’m guessing this is going to be the first of MANY blog posts from me while everyone including myself is self isolating (what is going on😭).
I’ve had my hands on this balm for a few weeks now and been meaning to do a blog post. I wanted to make sure I’d had it a substantial enough time so I can give you a full, and honest review!
Since I can remember I have always suffered with dry/chapped lips. Up until a few years ago I only used vaseline and it was not for me. I then moved onto Carmex, which granted was good, but I never felt it actually stayed on long enough to do the job and keep the chapped lips from coming back a few days later.
For Valentines this year, me and Sam did the P&O Dutch Dash to Amsterdam, apart from the fact that I was soooo sea sick, we had a lovely time.
On board the ship they had a duty free shop, and me being a numpty, I forgot my Carmex, and rushed to duty free in a panic. My lips were in bits, even to the point where they were bleeding in the cracks!
I saw this balm and remembered that in the past, I had recieved an eight hour oil from Elizabeth Arden to review and I LOVED it! You can read my review here. I knew I liked the 8 hour range and if I’m honest there wasn’t much choice in terms of lip balm so I headed to the till to purchase this little pot… and I am so glad I did.
The glass pot contains 10g of product, which doesn’t seem like a lot but with the texture being a gel like consistency a little goes a very long way!
I was super sea sick on board so my lips were very dehydrated, I applied this every few hours and a larger amount before bed and the next day my lips were repaired. I really wish I had taken a before picture of my lips but it wasn’t really a priority for me as you can imagine!
I use around a finger tip size of the product, and even though I’ve used this every day for over a month it looks barely used.
I’m not going to lie, the price is a little steep (£20) at first glance, so definitely look out for online deals! However the cost per wear is super low and I really would recommend this if you find Carmex and Vaseline not to be enough.
Have you tried this or anything from the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Range?
