Holiday Checklist

Hi Everyone,

Summer is just around the corner and so is holiday season! We’ve booked a week away in June to Portugal and if anything, it’s another excuse to fill my wardrobe with colourful clothing and accessories.

We all know the standard for any holiday is excessive amounts of bikinis and dresses, half of which you don’t even get round to wearing. However I always make sure I bring the perfect amount beauty products. I’ve been loving Lee Staffords Coco Loco range and will be purchasing the shampoo and deep conditioner for my hols.

I also always try to take the right amount of beauty products because we all know they weigh an absolute ton, but choosing the products you want to take is like picking your favourite child. I usually take Shampoo, a Deep Conditioner and one post wash/blow dry product that is either a oily spray or a lotion that contains oil for my inevitable dry hair.

I really do try my hardest to minimalize my makeup and skincare but this is the worst one for me. I will take a tinted moisturiser as standard and a foundation for the nights, probably Nars Luminous Foundation as it’s light and dewy.  I may even go and grab a sample from a beauty counter as this can last me up to 2 weeks and that way I don’t have to bring my heavy foundation bottle. I’ll also take my Nars Creamy Concealer in Vanilla to compliment this.

My favourite Eyeshadow palettes at the moment are the Carli Bybel Pallete which also contains highlighters and then my own Mac palette with a mixture of colours, however the Mac palette is quite heavy so I will probably take the Carli bybel one. My go to Mascara is Benefit Rollerlash so that’s a must, and I always use Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer. Even though my eyeshadow palette contains highlighters I can’t go anywhere without my Mary-Lou Manizer by The Balm because… DAT GLOW. I will take a selection of my favourite Spectrum Brushes and my Real Techniques makeup sponge, because I literally don’t know how I applied my makeup before I got these.

I plan on taking a couple of lip products but we are flying from Manchester which from what I remember has a great selection of beauty concessions at their duty free, so I will without a doubt spend most of my spending money there! I plan on purchasing Mac Lady Danger too if it’s in stock as I think this is the perfect holiday colour!

I absolutely love Cliniques 3 Step Routine and always buy the travel set for my hols, my skin gets so dry and the Dramatically Different Moisturiser is literally a god send! I use this routine every morning and every night before bed. As you can see, I definitely need to re-purchase.

I was lucky enough to win a 50% off Missguided Code, and seen as I am yet to buy my holiday wardrobe, the discount seemed a great excuse! Here is what I have currently sat waiting patiently in my basket until payday…

White Bikini Bottoms £8

Tye Dye Playsuit £22

Black Tea Dress £25

White Ruffled Cami £15

Black Bikini Bottoms £8

Rust Bikini Top £12

White Crochet Playsuit £28

I am so excited to finally get a bit of sun (63days and counting). Are you going on holiday this year? Do you have any recommendations of what to take, beauty must haves? Beach wear? Obviously I’ll do a holiday blog post with outfits and pictures of the hotel so keep your eyes peeled guys!

Natt xx
